AI Pet Portrait

AI pet portrait generator

Upload one photo of your dog, cat or other pet and see it as a royal court portrait, a watercolor, a pop-art poster, a pencil sketch or a Christmas card. Today the preview is a quick filter that runs in your browser. The full AI-painted portrait is coming soon, and nothing is charged now.

Drop a pet photo anywhere on this card, or choose one from your device.

JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 15 MB. Your photo stays on your device — it is never uploaded.

Tips for a better photo
  • Daylight from a window beats flash. Flash flattens fur and makes eyes glow.
  • Get down to eye level with your pet. A photo taken from above makes the head look small.
  • Fill the frame: the face and shoulders should take up most of the picture.
  • Keep whiskers and ears inside the frame and in focus. Wait for a sharp shot, not a perfect pose.
  • One pet per photo gives the cleanest result. Use a second photo for another pet.

Always free to play with. See plans for the full portrait. Nothing is charged today.

How it works

  1. Choose one photoA clear, well-lit picture where the face is easy to see. JPEG, PNG or WebP up to 15 MB.
  2. Pick a styleSeven looks, from a gilded court portrait to a soft memorial. The preview redraws as you choose.
  3. Personalise itAdd a name, change the background colour, crop it square, 4:5 or as a 5×7 card.
  4. Keep the preview, or reserve the full portraitThe preview download is free and carries a watermark. The paid, high-resolution portrait is not open yet.

The seven styles, and what the preview does to your photo

None of these looks uses an artist’s name or a studio’s brand. Each one is a plain description of a classic way to portray a pet. The line under each name says exactly what the browser preview does, so you know it is a filter and not a painting.

  • Royal oil paintingSmooths the photo into flat bands of colour, warms it with a sepia tone, adds a varnish glow and a dark vignette, then sets it in a gilded frame on a burgundy mat.
  • Renaissance nobleA heavier version of the oil look: stronger smoothing, a darker and browner tone, a deep vignette and a forest-green mat inside a gilded frame.
  • WatercolorBlurs detail into soft washes, lifts the colours and lays a paper texture over the top, on a cream mat.
  • Pop-art posterTurns the photo into a grid of coloured halftone dots on warm paper, like a printed poster.
  • Pencil sketchFinds the edges in the photo and draws them as soft grey lines on off-white paper.
  • Christmas cardWarms and saturates the photo, then places it on a card with a gold border, your greeting and your pet’s name. Choose 5×7 or a square post.
  • MemorialSoftens and slightly fades the photo, adds a gentle glow and sets it on a pale mat with a plaque for the name and dates.

Digital portrait or hand-painted?

A hand-painted pet portrait is lovely and it takes time: you usually pay somewhere between $39 and $150 and wait weeks for it to be painted and posted. A digital portrait is a file. You pay about a quarter of the price and you can print it yourself or send it to a print shop the same day. A digital file has no shipping cut-off, which is handy in the weeks before Christmas.

The honest trade-off: a painting is a physical object made by a person. Ours will be a file made by software. Read the full comparison to decide.

Ideas that work well

Pick the look for the moment. A royal court portrait suits a gift for a dog who thinks they run the house. A Christmas card uses the same photo with your own greeting. When a pet has died, the memorial style is quiet and unhurried. Not sure which photo to use? Start with our photo tips.

Questions people ask

How does the AI pet portrait generator work?

You choose one pet photo and a style, and the page shows a preview of that style. Today that preview is made by filters running in your browser. The full AI-painted portrait, made from the same photo, is planned and not open yet.

What kind of photo works best?

A sharp, evenly lit photo taken at your pet’s eye level, with the face and shoulders filling most of the frame. Daylight from a window is better than flash. Avoid heavy blur, busy backgrounds and photos where the face is hidden.

Can I do two pets in one portrait?

Not in the free preview, which takes one photo at a time. Two pets in one portrait is part of the Up to 3 styles / 2 pets plan once full portraits open. Until then, make one preview per pet.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Your photo stays on your device and never leaves it: it is opened and styled inside your browser, and it is never sent to or stored on our servers. If full AI portraits open later, the privacy page will change before any upload happens.

Can I include people in the photo?

Yes. Photos with people and pets are fine; the portrait focuses on the pet. For the cleanest result, keep your pet large and in focus in the frame.

How long does it take?

The free preview appears in a second or two. The full AI portrait is not open yet, so there is no delivery time to quote. When it opens we will publish the real time, and it is meant to be minutes, not the weeks a painted portrait takes.

What sizes and resolution will I get?

The free preview is at most 800 pixels on the long side. The paid portrait is planned as a high-resolution file: 2400 × 3000 px for an 8×10 print and 3300 × 4200 px for 11×14, both at 300 dpi. The digital portrait page lists every size.

Can I print it?

Yes, the full-size portrait is for printing at home or at a print shop, for personal use. The free preview is watermarked and small, so it is for looking, not printing.

Will it arrive in time for Christmas?

A digital file has no shipping, so there is no postal cut-off to miss. What matters is when full portraits open, and we will email you once, when they do. Nothing is promised for a date before that.

What about refunds?

Nothing is charged now. The checkout only reserves a plan and collects your email, so there is nothing to refund. The refund page will be updated before any payment is taken.

Can I make a memorial portrait for a pet who has died?

Yes. The Memorial style is soft and quiet, with a plaque for the name and dates. Read the memorial portrait page for tips on choosing a photo.

Why is the preview watermarked?

The watermark marks the free preview as a preview, so it is not mistaken for the finished portrait. The paid portrait has no watermark. The watermark is added in your browser to the image you see.
